Alexandra is journalist and filmmaker with more than seven years experience based in London and New York. She has a particular interest in food + farming, social justice, and indigenous peoples.
She is currently working on the investigations team at BBC Countryfile, and is making an ongoing series of short docs about farming in the UK, the latest being a film called 'Our Land', which was broadcast on Together TV throughout Black History Month.
Alex also freelance writes for publications including Al Jazeera, National Geographic, TIME, New York Times , Magnum Photos, Elephant magazine, Huck and the Guardian among others. .
Before going freelance, she was a staff writer and producer at TIME's LightBox in NYC, and a producer at ITV's Good Morning Britain in London, with secondments to ITN's Westminster bureau and Channel 4's Come Dine With Me.
She conceived and directed two short films for TIME on artist Erik Kessels and photographer Richard Avedon, has worked on assignment with Magnum photographers including Martin Parr and reported around the world from Ghana to Ethiopia.
Alexandra is of Native American, Italian and Welsh descent, born in New York City and brought up in England.
She has a Masters in Magazine Journalism from City University, London.
